The Games Organising Committee is very pleased that a member of the Royal Family, His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, will be opening the XV Pacific Games on July 4 in Port Moresby. Prince Andrew to grace the Games signifies that this event is of Global significance. GOC CEO Peter Stewart said, “We are excited with the news as this deems that the Games is significant and as a result we have a Royal Family member to officiate at the Opening Ceremony.” GOC will work with the Government to ensure His Royal Highness’ visit runs smoothly. Tickets to the Opening Ceremony are just K100 for the general admission seat. With the announcement of Prince Andrew Officiating at the Ceremony, it promises to be one event not to be missed. The public is encouraged to get in quickly to avoid being disappointed at the last minute.
