Power lifting this morning saw an impressive display from Team PNG with a total haul of 4 gold medals and 1 silver.
In the womens 47kg division, Hitolo Kevau took Gold while Navili Benson settled for silver. Dobi Mea then went on to claim Gold for her lifts in the 52kg division, while Belinda Umang tok out Gold also for her efforts within the 59kg division. Meanwhile, the men’s 59kg division saw Gold go to Andrew Kalau. More medals are expected to follow in the afternoon, with a significant highlight being that of Linda Pulsan. Currently ranked 2nd in the world in the world championships qualifiers, she is also a recent winner of a gold medal at the 2011 Pacific Games.
