The 2015 Pacific Games Committee recently visited the Tabubil sporting facilities.
Chief Executive Officer Peter Stewart was in the Province to inspect potential training venues for athletes in preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games. The Ok Tedi Mine limited took the 2015 Pacific Games CEO Peter Stewart on a tour, showing off the sporting facilities which could potentially cater for athletes when in training. The Sporting facilities include a gymnasium, multi-purpose indoor court areas, squash and tennis courts, swimming pool, soccer, rugby and other outdoor sports fields. In his two day visit, Mr. Stewart was impressed with what he saw. It is an ideal spot for Team PNG athletes to choose as a training camp to prepare for the 2015 Pacific Games. Ok Tedi is one of the major sponsors of the games through its platinum sponsorship. Mr. Stewart also visited schools, bringing to the children the message of community involvement and engagement in the games. Comments are closed.
