PORT MORESBY, July 10 – Tahiti came out on top winning four medals in men’s and women’s doubles table tennis at Caritas Technical Secondary School on Thursday night.
Tahiti picked up two gold medals, one silver and a bronze in the final day of table tennis action. One of the gold medallist in the men’s doubles, Alize Belrose, said he was delighted his win was contributing to Tahiti’s medal haul. “We won and it was very, very good. It’s my first time I played with my brother [Ocean] and we found it difficult, but we won and we are very happy,” he said. “We won four medals and like every other sporting code, we want more medals.” Tahiti took gold and bronze in men’s doubles while New Caledonia won silver.
