Work has begun at the Sir John Guise Stadium in preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games.
Groundwork is evident and heavy machineries are on sight. Work started on Monday by global construction. Workmen have to get the stadium ready for the main events in 2015. At the groundbreaking ceremony two weeks ago, Prime Minister Peter O’Neill said the 2015 Pacific Games is a good gift to the nation given that the country will be celebrating its 40th independence while the Government remains focus on assisting athletes to win gold. By the time the construction is completed at all the Games venues, PNG will have three World Class stadiums catering for up to twenty thousand. The O’Neil Dion Government is adamant on delivering the Games on time, while working with all sporting codes in further developing athletes and infrastructure. The Sir John Guise Outdoor stadium will host the Games Opening and Closing ceremonies. Comments are closed.
